Dan Richards of ZellComp spoke today at the Federal Highway Administration’s Accelerated Bridge Construction Conference in Baltimore. The title of his presentation was:  Accelerating Acceptance of FRP Decks: Focus on Life Cycle Costs, Superior Strength Demonstrated through Independent Testing, and Ease of Construction.

ZellComp is pleased to announce it recently completed a highway bridge deck installation in Bradford, Vermont. ZellComp has upcoming installations utilizing its patented FRP bridge deck in Indiana and Florida and is in discussions with Departments of Transportation, engineering firms, contractors, and universities in several additional locations.

Earlier this month, ZellComp completed the first installation of its 5-inch ZellComp Decking System on Tangier Island in Virginia.

Testing of the 5-inch ZellComp™ Decking System was completed at the Florida Department of Transportation in Tallahassee, Florida. Extremely positive test results were achieved, and the deck has been approved for installation in the state of Florida. See Test Results for additional information.
